Mazzy Star returns with a new song and EP

Dreamy rock band Mazzy Star announced their return this week with their first new music since 2014, an four-song EP titled Still.

Known for 90s hits such as “Fade Into You” and “Flowers In December”, Mazzy Star’s last music release came with the single “I’m Less Here” in 2014, one year after their album Seasons of Your Day, which was the band’s first since the 1996 album Among My Swan. The track list is as follows:

1. Quiet, The Winter Harbour
2. That Way Again
3. Still
4. So Tonight That I Might See (ascension version)

The group released “Quiet, The Winter Harbour” on April 17, and in true Mazzy Star fashion, it’s relaxing, ethereal, and quite lovely, especially when the guitar solo kicks in at around the 2 minute mark. Listen below:

Mazzy Star will also be playing a series of dates in Australia in May and June, their first in five years. Hopefully this is all a sign that they’ll have more music on the way in the not-so-distant future. (h/t Spin)
