Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason To Form New Supergroup

That’s right Rocknutters, you heard correctly. Nick Mason is forming a group to focus solely on the embryonic years of Pink Floyd, 1967 to 1972. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets is composed of Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp, Lee Harris of the Blockheads, bassist Guy Pratt, who took over from Roger Waters in Floyd, and composer Dom Beken, a collaborator with late Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright.

This is a big deal because first of all it’s Nick Mason, and second, this will be Mason’s fist live outing since Pink Floyd played Live 8 in 2005.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets will play Dingwall’s in London on May 20, followed by the Half Moon in Putney, on May 21, 23 and 24. You can find ticket here at the bands official website.
