Keith Richards tweets apology for saying Mick Jagger needed a vasectomy

Keith Richards is taking back some comments he made about fellow Rolling Stones bandmate Mick Jagger needing a vasectomy after his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick gave birth to his eighth child a little over a year ago.

Jagger’s daughter, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, was born on December 8, 2016 when Jagger was 73 old. Richards made a comment in a recent piece published by Wall Street Journal Magazine that child number eight might have been one too many.

“Mick’s a randy old bastard,” Richards said. “It’s time for the snip — you can’t be a father at that age. Those poor kids!”

Richards posted an apology for his comments on Twitter Wednesday.

Fans posted some good-natured responses to the apology.

We’re guessing Mick probably wasn’t all that upset about it, either, and that it’s all water under the bridge.
