The First Taste Of New Led Zeppelin Is Coming

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, our first taste of unreleased Led Zeppelin is on the way. The material will come to us in the form of a Record Store Day release that will see remixed versions of “Rock and Roll” and “Friends” will be a 7-inch format pressed on limited yellow vinyl.

The press release says, “This mix of “Rock and Roll” stems from the ‘Sunset Sound Mixes’ made for Led Zeppelin IV, of which only two tracks have been heard before: the original version of ‘When the Levee Breaks’ and ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ which appeared as a special mix on the 2014 Deluxe Edition of Led Zeppelin IV.”

It also goes on to say that “the “Olympic Sound Mix” of “Friends” removes the orchestration, “offering the true feel of being there during the Headley Grange recording session.” Most all record stores will be celebrating Record Store Day on April 21st. This for me will be a must have.
