According to Pitchfork, punky, guitar garage rockers Parquet Courts have announced their new album Wide Awake!, their first since 2016’s Human Performance. It’s out May 18 via Rough Trade. They’ve also shared the lyric video for a new song called “Almost Had to Start a Fight/In and Out of Patience.”

The visuals feature come courtesy of guitarist/singer Andrew Savage. What makes the album interesting is that Danger Mouse, a.k.a. Brian Burton, is involved. “I personally liked the fact that I was writing a record that indebted to punk and funk, and [Danger Mouse]’s a pop producer who’s made some very polished records,” Savage said in a press release. “I liked that it didn’t make sense.”
