Paul Simon announces retirement from touring, farewell tour



Paul Simon announced his retirement from touring today, citing as reasons the recent loss of his band’s lead guitarist as well as a desire to spend time with his family.

Simon, 76, released the following statement regarding his decision, adding that he doesn’t plan on retiring from playing shows altogether:

Simon also announced his farewell tour, which will run from May to July and will carry him across North America and Europe. Here’s a look at the dates:
