A New Solo Album Is Coming From Spinal Tap’s Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer)



According to Pitchfork, Spinal Tap’s Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) is releasing an album entitled Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing). The album is out April 13 via Twanky/BMG.

What makes the announcement extra interesting is the cast of musicians that are appearing on the album. The roster includes Peter Frampton, Paul Shaffer, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, David Crosby, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Richard Thompson, Jayne Lynch, Rick Wakeman, and Dweezil Zappa.
