Neil Young To Live Stream Solo Concert This Friday at 8pm ET

Friday is going to be a huge day for Neil Young and his fans. Not only will he release his latest album The Visitor and launch a massive archive of his collected works, but he will also perform a solo acoustic concert and stream it worldwide for free. He is going to have a busy day.

The concert will originate from an “undisclosed location in Canada”. Young of course is Canadian and told his Facebook followers that the show would be delivered “from my hometown to yours”, which narrows down the location a bit. He spent his formative years in Toronto and Winnipeg, so those are two possibilities, but the betting money is on tiny Omemee, Ontario, a little village about an hour and a half northeast of Toronto, the site of his family’s summer home and the inspiration for his song “Helpless”.

Friday’s show will stream in Canada on ctv.ca beginning at 8 pm ET. The rest of the world can stream it on his Facebook site. Sounds like a great way to warm up in the late autumn weather.
