Song of the Day: Tommy Tedesco – “Guitar Ramblin'”

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of Tommy Tedesco, one of the most respected session guitarists of his era. Tedesco played with the Beach Boys, Frank Zappa, The Mamas & The Papas, Frank Zappa, and Elvis Presley, among many others. His playing can be heard on famous tracks such as “Eve of Destruction” by Barry McGuire, “Strangers In The Night” by Frank Sinatra, “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes, and “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” by The Righteous Brothers. Equally impressive is his list of television theme song and movie soundtrack credits: Tedesco was involved in the television themes to Batman, Bonanza, Green Acres, Mash, and Charlie’s Angels as well as soundtracks to films such as The Godfather, The Deer Hunter and Field of Dreams. Today we have a cool instrumental piece by Tedesco, taken off the collection The Complete Twelve String Story.
