U2 announces 2018 tour, provides new album details

U2 had a busy day Wednesday as they announced a new 2018 summer tour while providing new details about their upcoming album, Songs of Experience.

Let’s start with the tour, which will be called the Experience & Innocence Tour and will kick off in May. Here’s a look at the dates so far:

May 2: Tulsa (BOK Center)
May 4: St. Louis (Scottrade Center)
May 7: San Jose (SAP @ Center)
May 11: Las Vegas (T-Mobile Arena)
May 15: Los Angeles (The Forum)
May 22: Chicago (United Center)
May 26: Nashville, Tenn. (Bridgestone Arena)
May 28: Atlanta (Infinite Energy Arena)
June 5: Montreal (Bell Centre)
June 9: Uniondale, N.Y. (NYCB Live, Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum)
June 13: Philadelphia (Wells Fargo Center)
June 17: Washington, D.C. (Capital One Arena)
June 21: Boston (TD Garden)
June 25: New York City (Madison Square Garden)
June 29: Newark, N.J. (Prudential Center)

U2’s 2017 Joshua Tree Tour just wrapped up and generated the band $315 million, and it’s safe to assume this one will be big as well.

Now on to the album details. Songs of Experience will be released on December 1 and will have the following tracklist:

1. “Love Is All We Have Left”
2. “Lights of Home’
3. “You’re The Best Thing About Me”
4. “Get Out of Your Own Way” featuring Kendrick Lamar
5. “American Soul”
6. “Summer of Love”
7. “Red Flag Day”
8. “The Showman (Little More Better)”
9. “The Little Things That Give You Away”
10. “Landlady”
11. “The Blackout”
12. “Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way”
13. “13 (There is a Light)”

The deluxe edition will feature four more songs:

14. Ordinary Love (Extraordinary Mix)
15. Book Of Your Heart
16. Lights of Home (St Peter’s String Version)
17. You’re The Best Thing About Me (U2 vs Kygo)

The fourth track on the album was released to the public Wednesday as well. U2 appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s album DAMN., and now he’s returning the favor. Listen below:
