Robert Plant releases new song, announces tour

Robert Plant delivered some big news today as on top of releasing a new song featuring Chrissie Hynde, he announced a winter North American tour that at the moment consists of 12 dates.

The tour starts February 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina and runs to March 2 in Los Angeles. Check out dates below:

His new track is a guitar-driven cover of “Bluebirds Over The Mountain,” a song originally written in 1958 by Ersel Hickey and later covered by The Beach Boys and Ritchie Valens. Listen below:

The track is the third to be released from his upcoming album Carry Fire, along with “The May Queen” and “Bones of Saints.” Carry Fire is due for release on October 13.
