Song of the Day: AC/DC – “Jailbreak”

Here’s one off the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap album, which was released on this day in 1976. I must say I was not aware there was a video for this song until now… it’s kind of awesome yet tough to watch at the same time. Watch for Angus Young in his bizarre outfit, plus it’s supposedly one of the first videos to feature explosions and fake blood — obviously a lot of bands would follow that trend in the years to come. Per Songfacts, this track is inspired by a real life jailbreak attempt of convicted murderer Mark Brandon Reid and his friend/partner in crime Jimmy Loughnan, an attempt that was foiled because of Loughnan’s fear of tight spaces.
