Hear Gregg Allman’s first posthumous song ‘My Only True Friend’

New music from Gregg Allman hit the Internet Wednesday, the first Allman track since his May 27 death from liver cancer. The song is called “My Only True Friend” and is indeed a moving and bittersweet first posthumous track for the Southern rock legend.

The song is the first on his posthumous album Southern Blood. On it Allman names the road as his only true friend, and with lines like Still on and on I roam/It feels like home is just around the bend/I got so much left to give/But I’m running out of time my friend it’s hard not to be moved by this track.
