Cricketbows have been one of my favorites ever since they released Diamonds in the year 2015, and it seems that Chad Wells and Co. are back with more sounds in EP form.

Communion, which is being produced by Zachary Gabbard of Buffalo Killers, will drop on September 8th via Mosquito Hawk Records. Along with the EP, a full-length film entitled Where The Ocean Meets The Sky will release chronicling the making of Communion.

“Games People Play” is a huge, melodic pop song that according to Wells tells personal stories of yesteryear.

“It starts way back in the ’70s with me playing Batman with my friends and getting ditched and then it rolls through stuff that is reality for kids with divorced parents and even a little bridge that’s aimed at the current ruling class in America,” said Wells.

If the Soundcloud link at the top is acting funky then you can hear “Games People Play” here. This album seems to mark a new creative change for Cricketbows and I cannot wait to see what’s next. The track listing for Communion can be seen below.
