It turns out the December 2016 release of the EP Not The Actual Events by Nine Inch Nails is just the first in a trilogy of EPs the band plans on continuing to release in the months ahead.

Trent Reznor released the news in an e-mail sent to NIN.com vinyl customers on Monday. Reznor slipped in a note about the upcoming EPs at the end of the e-mail (via Consequence of Sound):

The band will start its summer shows on July 23, so expect the next EP to arrive before then, based on what Reznor said. After that, it sounds like the third EP could arrive before the end of the year or at the beginning of next year.
