Don’t Get To Excited About New Tool Or A Perfect Circle Albums This Year

Just because we’ve heard new A Perfect Circle material doesn’t mean that a new album is on the way… yet. The group comprising Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Friedl, and ex-Smashing Pumpkins member James Iha via Twitter have denied rumors that a new album is launching this year. When a fan reached out asking about a new album this year, the official APC Twitter responded with “Not true.” When another fan reached out about the possibility of a new Tool album this year, the fan received the same response.

Last April APC played their fist show in six years, APC performed a new song “Feathers” (below). Earlier in the year a mysterious Tool teaser was posted. It was later clarified as a live date at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. Preforming on June 24th the bill consists of Tool, The Melvins, Primus, the newly added Clutch, and Mike Patton’s reformed Fantômas.
