Paul McCartney revealed recently he has a new album on the way, which will be produced by Greg Kurstin, who has produced Adele, Beck, Tegan and Sara, Sia, Pink, The Shins, and Lily Allen, among many others.

McCartney commented on the album during an interview with BBC 6.

“I’m making a new album which is great fun,” McCartney said, via NME.com. “I’m in the middle of that. I’m working with a producer I first worked with two years ago on a piece of music I’m doing for an animated film.”

Of Kurstin, McCartney praised his resume, then said “My only worry is, people are going to go, ‘Oh there’s Paul going with the flavour of the month.’”

The album will be the 74-year old McCartney’s first since 2013’s New. No info on a release date was given.

  1. Should be a good fit with Kurstin, who’s been flavor of the month for a few years now. Together they could be really something.
