Record Store Day 2017 List Announced

It’s here, It’s finally here. The Record Store Day 2017 list has finally arrived — read about the background here. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the vinyl holiday and with it comes some pretty interesting releases.

Artists participating include Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Meters, Son House, Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Big Star, The Cure, The Black Angles, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, The Kinks, Hawkwind, Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes, Flat Duo Jets, The Flaming Lips, Prince, Frank Zappa, Pearl Jam, and Stevie Ray Vaughan to name just a few.

If you go to the list website, you can see the RSD has adopted a bit of a new aesthetic painting each image with “Support Record Stores…Not Flippers” which is something that I can get behind. Indie artist St. Vincent will be the ambassador to the US along with Robert Forster and Mark Gable as the Australian ambassadors. I’d also keep my eyes an ear peeled too as Third Man Records hasn’t announced what they’re bringing to the table yet. That can be something to get really excited for.
