Death of Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks ruled a suicide, per report

Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks died on Tuesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a report from the Miami Herald.

The Herald states that according to police records, Trucks shot himself in the head with a pistol in his West Palm Beach condo as his wife Melinda stood nearby. Melinda Trucks called 911, during which she confirmed her husband was still breathing.

Police arrived on the scene to discover Trucks still alive, but he passed away seconds later, according to the report.
