Songs of the Day: Jethro Tull – “We Five Kings” and “Greensleeved”

Looking for an interesting listen on this Christmas holiday? Check out The Jethro Tull Christmas Album. There’s some cool stuff on there, enough anyway to make it worth exploring. Much of what is on there is original holiday music from the band, but there are also a few interpretations of traditional compositions that I think are really cool. I couldn’t pick between “We Five Kings” (their version of “We Three Kings,” listen below) and “Greensleeved” (their version of “Greensleeves”) so I just put them both in here. Both are lovely, impressive interpretations and are songs that can be thrown into any collection of Christmas music and can be enjoyed by anyone, whether they’re into Jethro Tull or not. Give them a listen, along with their version of Gabriel Fauré’s Pavane off the same album.
