yesOne of the first things fans wondered when Journey and Yes were voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were what versions of the bands would be playing at the induction concert and if there would be any reunions on the horizon.

Members from each band spoke to Rolling Stone and showed receptiveness to a reunion. Here’s an exchange with Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin:

Q: The big question: Do you think all members of Yes, past and present, will play the ceremony?

A: “From what I know, and you probably are better versed to tell me, there are eight of us inducted with (late bassist) Chris Squire. I would imagine any of the people inducted would possibly want to do it. I really haven’t spoken to anyone yet, not even (vocalist) Jon (Anderson) or (keyboardist) Rick (Wakeman).”

As for Journey, fans would surely love to see the band reunite with former singer Steve Perry for the first time since 1991. The answer to that could be uncertain for a while.

“I’m hoping that Steve Perry will get up and do something with us,” guitarist Neal Schon told Rolling Stone. “We’ll have to see… “I don’t know because nobody has contact with him. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I suppose we’ll hear something about it a day before or the day of. Who knows?”

The induction ceremony takes place on April 7 in Brooklyn.
