Song of the Day: Led Zeppelin – “Going to California”

On this day in 1971, Led Zeppelin IV was released, an album which needless to say went on to become one of rock music’s biggest albums. The album has sold as many as 37 million copies worldwide, which makes it one of the top ten biggest selling albums of all time. Here’s the album’s most soothing moment — maybe it isn’t a bad idea to have a relaxing song given the hubbub of this day. The song is said to be inspired by Joni Mitchell’s song “California.”
