New music from Nine Inch Nails on the way

trentreznoratticusrossNew music from Nine Inch Nails will soon be “unleashed on the world.”

Trent Reznor and his composing partner Atticus Ross said during an interview this week with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio that they were working on new Nine Inch Nails material, although when it exactly will arrive is uncertain.

“I’m feeling creatively excited,” Reznor said. “And I’ve reminded myself – as I’ve veered off into technology for a while – that the act of writing and self-examination that comes from making music really helps me understand who I am again. Things are going good and when we have something that we think is excellent, we will unleash it on the world.”

Reznor and Ross, who won an Academy Award for their work on the 2010 soundtrack for The Social Network, have been busy working on music for Leonardo DiCaprio’s climate change documentary Before the Flood and for the upcoming film Patriots Day, which depicts the events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

A new Nine Inch Nails album would be the first since 2013’s Hesitation Marks.
