2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nominees Announced

eddievedderThe Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unveiled their list of 19 nominees for their 2017 class. Without further ado, here’s the list:

-Bad Brains
-Chaka Khan
-Depeche Mode
-Electric Light Orchestra
-J. Geils Band
-Jane’s Addiction
-Janet Jackson
-Joan Baez
-Joe Tex
-Pearl Jam
-The Cars
-The Zombies
-Tupac Shakur

Several first-time nominees made the list: Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur (both of whom are in their first year of eligibility), Bad Brains, Depeche Mode, ELO, Jane’s Addiction, Journey, Steppenwolf, and Joan Baez, who surprisingly has never been nominated.

Another surprise is the lack of nomination for Nine Inch Nails, who many feel should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame when first nominated in 2015.

Fans can cast their vote for who they want to see in the Hall of Fame at http://www.rockhall.com/. This year’s class will be announced in mid-December.
