Song of the Day: Jackson Browne – “Late for the Sky”

Today is quite a day for rock birthdays — John Lennon, Sean Lennon, John Entwistle, PJ Harvey, and Jackson Browne, to name a few. We’ll give Browne the SOTD honors today. This epic track kicked off the 1974 album of the same name and was also featured in the movie Taxi Driver. Of the song’s meaning, Browne told Mojo magazine in 1977, “It’s about a moment when you realize that something has changed, it’s over, and you’re late for wherever you’re going to be next.”
