Tool’s Danny Carey To Anchor The 8G Band On ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’

dannycareyAccording to the group’s Facebook page, Tool’s Danny Carey will be the latest guest drummer on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The post read:

“DANNY ON THE SETH MEYERS SHOW
I must be living in cave because it was just brought to my attention that DANNY will be the guest drummer on the LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS SHOW starting on the WEEK of Monday, Sept 26. Now that I mention it, this place could use some new wall paper.”

The show has has a rotating cast of drummers ever since Kimberly Thompson had left. Names include Primus’ Tim Alexander, Against Me!’s Atom Willard, and Mastodon’s Brann Dailor.

While there’s still no taste of the new album, Tool will embark on a three-date mini tour in October. They’ll be preforming Oct. 24th at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Oct. 26th in Denver, Colorado at the Pepsi Center, and Oct. 28 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Verizon Arena. Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35AM PT/ 11:35AM CT on NBC, so tune in the week of Sept. 26 to see Danny Carey perform.
