liamgallagherFormer Oasis and Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher will be releasing a solo album 2017, just a few months after emphatically stating he wasn’t interested.

Actually, “emphatically stating” would be an understatement. In January, Gallagher tweeted the following:

But, with news on Thursday of Gallagher signing with Warner Bros. Records, Gallagher took to Twitter to say in his own unique way that he changed his mind.

“Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sounds,” Gallagher said, per NME. “Keep the faith!”

As NME points out, Gallagher stated in a recent interview with Q that his new solo album doesn’t represent the beginning of a solo career but rather the release of a group of songs he has recorded. Whether this proves to be a one-shot deal or if it turns out to be the start of something more remains to be seen. In the meantime, Liam will probably still have plenty of time to hurl insults at his brother.
