U2 provides album update

The follow-up album to U2’s 2014 iTunes exclusive Songs of Innocence is still in the works, frontman Bono said recently.

There was originally optimism the album, which is expected to be called Songs of Experience, would be out by the end of this year. In speaking with fan page U2 en Espana, Bono wouldn’t give a date as to when a new album will hit the streets.

“It’s not finished yet but you will like it,” Bono said. “In terms of lyrics it is stronger than [U2’s 1983 album] War; it has more clarity.”
