After 30 years, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off will have a soundtrack release

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off delivered some of the more memorable ’80s movie music moments, but believe it or not, the movie never had a soundtrack. But that’s about to change.

Salon reported Monday that the release of an official soundtrack will accompany the film’s 30th anniversary this year. The soundtrack will be released by La La Land Records, who came to an agreement with Paramount Pictures to release the soundtrack.

There’s been no track list released, but it’s a certainly a safe bet that the soundtrack will contain “Twist and Shout” by The Beatles, “Oh Yeah” by Yello and, of course, “Danke Schoen” by Wayne Newton.
