Song of the Day: Buffalo Springfield – “Bluebird”

On this day in 1968, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Buffalo Springfield decided to call it quits after two years together. The members went on to other success, most notably Stephen Stills and Neil Young eventually becoming part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and then of course Young’s legendary solo career. The surviving members of the band briefly reunited for shows in 2010 and 2011. The band is best known for its iconic song “For What it’s Worth,” but let’s remember them with another terrific song, “Bluebird.”

  1. This has become my favorite song by them… It just feels like a bunch of masters getting together to and jamming, but somehow still has incredible cohesiveness.
