rollingstonesbannerIt would be a lineup rock fans can only dream about — The Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Roger Waters on the same ticket. And according to the Los Angeles Times, it’s in the works to happen later this year.

Goldenvoice, the Los Angeles-based promoters who are behind the yearly Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, are currently finalizing negotiations with the artists to play a three-night event at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California on October 7-9 of this year. Per Billboard, a second weekend of the event is also possible.

Per the Times, a formal announcement is expected in the coming weeks.

The report states that each act will be performing a full set, with Dylan and The Rolling Stones performing on October 7, Neil Young and Paul McCartney on October 8, and The Who and Roger Waters performing October 9.

“It’s so special in so many ways,” Young’s manager Elliot Roberts told the Times. “You won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.”

No word yet on how much it will cost to attend this event. It’ll certainly not be cheap, but for a rare event like this, it’ll probably be worth it.
