The National Announce More Details On Grateful Dead Tribute Day Of The Dead

Any Grateful Dead fan has to have this on their radar. A little over three weeks ago we reported the assembly of the Grateful Dead tribute box set, Day of the Dead. Well it seems full details have been released as well as a smattering of tracks.

Day of the Dead, a 59-track, six-hour-long all-star box set, is out May 20 via 4AD. Spearheaded by The National guitarists Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Day of the Dead is a benefit for Red Hot, the HIV/AIDS not-for-profit charity. Day of the Dead will be available digitally, as a 5xCD set, and as a limited edition vinyl box set.

I have to say that I’m not the biggest Grateful Dead fan, but the five tracks shared so far have piqued my interest. You can see the five track below along with the sets entire track listing.
