Brian Johnson of AC/DC told to stop touring or risk hearing loss



brianjohnsonAC/DC will be rescheduling 10 upcoming shows as frontman Brian Johnson is pulling out of the band’s tour to avoid hearing loss, the band’s publicist announced Monday.

“(Johnson) has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss,” the publicist said in an e-mail, per the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Johnson, 68, has been with AC/DC since 1980 as he took over as the band’s frontman following the death of Bon Scott. The band says they will be moving forward with a guest vocalist. The dates being rescheduled are as follows.

  2. This sucks, but I have to say: when I saw AC/DC I had hearing loss for a few days afterward.

    And that was one time.

    Imagine what being in that band must be like.
