On this day in 1969, “Touch Me” by The Doors peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. The song was the band’s last top 10 hit in the U.S. and also hit No. 1 in Canada and No. 10 in Australia. The song was written by guitarist Robby Krieger and is a highlight from the album The Soft Parade, which seems to be the one Doors album critics liked the least.
