Paul Rodgers Rumored To Be Recording With Bad Company

paulrodgersYes rocknuts, you read that right. It has been reported that Paul Rodgers/Bad Company are working on a new album and preparing to tour. This would make it the first album with Rodgers in 35 years.

The story comes from MediaMass and quotes a “source” as saying “they have about eight songs recorded.”

“It’s still in the early stages,” the source said. “They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper.”

While the MediaMass story says that it has been updated as seeming to be false, a full-page advertisement in the Winter 2016 issue of Red Hot Rock magazine says that a North American tour featuring Rodgers, Ralphs and Kirke will happen at some point in 2016.

Sadly, we lost original bassist Boz Burrell in 2006. Rodgers has said Burrell’s death had been a big reason why the band hadn’t recorded anything. It makes sense, but for fans this could be a good thing as well.

Would you hope to see something out of Bad Company in 2016? What are your thoughts?
