Today marks the birthday of late Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Ronnie Van Zant, who would have been 68 years old today. This song has a simple, enduring message that everyone agrees with every once in a while — sometimes we just need to be left alone. Van Zant let us know that he feels like a lot of us do when it comes to work — when we’re off the job, we just want to focus on something else (“When I come off the road, well, I just got to have my time/’Cause I got to find a break in this action, else I’m gonna lose my mind/So, don’t ask me no questions/And I won’t tell you no lies”). So, it’s best to find another topic… Van Zant gave us his (If you want to talk fishin’/Well, I guess that’ll be okay).
