1) The best Christmas present. Billy Corgan, the bald-headed Smashing Pumpkins frontman is now a father. The singer’s partner, Chloe Mendel gave birth to a baby boy last week. His name? Augustus Juppiter Corgan. (NME)

2) The Beatles DEFINITELY coming to streaming. We’ve been hearing rumors for a week. Now, it’s confirmed. The Beatles will begin streaming on multiple platforms starting on Christmas Eve. Per NME, the band will appear on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, TIDAL and Amazon Prime Music. They’ll be available for free and premium users. (NME)

3) Lady Gaga finally gets her pony. Interscope Records sent the pop star a pony for Christmas. Gaga’s been posting pics of the white beast on her Instagram account. (NME)

4) Confusion in Chicago. First, Chicago co-founder Robert Lamm said Peter Cetera would reunite with Chicago for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Now, he’s back-tracking: “I’ve mistakenly said Cetera would be playing,” Lamm now tells Billboard. “He has emphatically declined. My email exchanges with Cetera were misinterpreted by me, and I’ve apologized to him, and likewise apologize to the music press community and fans.” (UCR)

5) ‘Dazed and Confused’ sequel. Richard Linklater has unveiled a badass new rock poster for his “spiritual sequel” to “Dazed and Confused,” a film called “Everybody Wants Some.” The new flick will be set in the 80s with a big focus on the music scene. Can’t wait to see it! (UCR)
