Song of the Day: White Stripes – Seven Nation Army/Death Letter (Live at the 2004 Grammy Awards)

Captain Quirk recalls: Happy 41st birthday to Meg White, who we’ll honor with this memorable performance from the Grammy Awards in 2004. This was after The White Stripes had released Elephant, long before “Seven Nation Army” became an anthem to be played and/or howled at least once at every sporting event. This is always a fun video to watch, seeing Jack and Meg rock the pants off the Grammys with a portion of “Seven Nation Army” mixed in with a little “Death Letter” followed by a minute of all-out rocking at the end. Not much is heard about Meg these days, but her and Jack definitely had something special going back then.
