Song of the Day: The Who – “I Can See For Miles”

Captain Quirk recalls: On this day in 1967, this song peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The surprising piece of trivia here is that this song is the only Who song to reach the top ten on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. You’d think with all the songs The Who has put out and how many songs from them you still hear today on U.S. radio and on television commercials that there certainly would be more than just this song to reach the Top 10. They’ve had a few (“See Me, Feel Me,” “Who Are You,” “Pinball Wizard,” “Join Together,” “Squeeze Box,” “You Better You Bet”) reach the Top 20, but none of those were able to climb into the Top 10.
