Song of the Day: Dan Hill – Sometimes When We Touch



Jordan Posner recalls: A long while back, David Letterman had a Top Ten List that was “Top Ten Headlines That Would Start a Panic.” One of them was “National Anthem Changed to ‘Sometimes When We Touch.'” I remembered that headline throughout my youth, into my troubled adolescence and ultimately into my equally troubled adulthood. During my irony-soaked college years, I sought out “Sometimes When We Touch” as the ultimate example of the sensitive bearded type who dominated 70’s soft rock. I grew up in the 90s and 2000’s, so the true extent of Dan Hill’s singer/songwriter wrath was dulled by a few years, and I was thus able to laugh at it wholeheartedly.
