IBM supercomputer reduces Bob Dylan’s music to two themes

Bob Dylan’s featured in a brand new ad for IBM’s supercomputer Watson. The ad, which shows off Watson’s new question answering ability, starts with Dylan walking up to a laptop.

“Bob Dylan,” Watson says. “To improve my language skills, I’ve read all your lyrics.”

“You’ve read all of my lyrics?” Dylan asks.

“I can read 800 million pages per second.”

“That’s fast.”

“My analysis shows that your major themes are time passes and love fades.”

“That sounds about right.”

“I have never known love.”

“Maybe we should write a song together.”
