News: The Dead Weather Will Not Tour In Support Of Dodge And Burn

deadweatherIf you read my review of Dodge And Burn posted a few days ago, you know you could do a lot worse than that album. A lot of critics and fans are out there saving that this album is one that deserved to be played live. However, from my perspective, this headline doesn’t break my heart in the lease bit. Why, you ask? Because so many better bands make up The Dead Weather.

Speaking with Billboard (via NME), Dean Fertita, who is also in Queens of the Stone Age, said that band is spinning up again. Releasing one of my favorite albums of 2013, Like Clockwork…, it excites me what a follow-up could look like.

Other reasons sited for not touring — lead vocals Allison Mosshart is writing a new The Kills record; City and Colour is starting up soon; and Jack White just needs a break. In regards to music, 2016 is looking to be an exciting year.
