Song of the Day: Radiohead – “The Daily Mail”

Christopher Tahy Recalls: I consider my self a lucky human being. I’ve been able to see Radiohead three times — once before the release of In Rainbows, at Lollapalooza when they where a headlining act, and finally in support of their latest album The King Of Limbs. It was the most I’ve ever spent on an individual show, but damn if it wasn’t worth it. With the possibility of a new album this year, I have to push my No. 1 Radiohead B-side. In my Radiohead B-side list I say, “imagine that you have no idea about this song. This had to be one of the most exciting, exhilarating, and uplifting moments of the show.” “The Daily Mail” is a classic B-side that combines the Radiohead of the 90’s with a modern flair. It sends shivers down my spine, and if this is any indication of where Radiohead wants to go, then we may have a contender for album of the year — if it’s released this year, that is.
