QUICKIE REVIEW: Blossoms ‘fragrant’ new single

This girl has always been a bit of a sucker for a good UK band on the rise, and Manchester -based five piece Blossoms certainly fit the bill. With a sound that references artists such as The Doors & the Stone Roses their variety of psych-pop is pretty classically British as evidenced with their new single Cut Me and I’ll Bleed – out on March 2nd on Skeleton Key Records.

The band was among six hand-selected acts set to play at the BBC Introducing and PRS for Music Foundation’s official showcase at SXSW at Latitude 30 on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.

“This is our first time in the United States ever,” Blossoms told B-sides. “We wanted BBQ! We stopped at Ruby’s and the brisket there was good. They smoke it for about 18 hours! We were also introduced to this drink, Big Red.”

Stay tuned for more from Blossoms.
