Musicians Take Action With Our First 100 Days

Uniting people-especially in these times- is something that music has done basically ever since its’ conception. Our First 100 Days is an organization that aims to raise funds and awareness for organizations supporting causes that are under threat by the proposed policies of a Trump administration. This project is produced with the help of Revolutions Per Minute, an organization that provides strategy and support for artists making change.

While many artist like Speedy Ortiz, Surfer Blood, and Joan of Arc have already contributed songs, former Sonic Youth-er Kim Gordon and indie superstar Mikal Cronin are really putting the project on the map. Naming their group Self-Esteem, “War / Golden God” is a demo that’s rocking fuck you to our dear commander in chief.

The specific causes supported by Our First 100 Days include Climate under The People’s Climate Movement, Reproductive Rights under All Above All, Immigration under Cosecha, LGBTQ rights under Southerners On New Ground, Community under Hoosier Action, and Music under Revolutions Per Minute. You can find Our First 100 Days bandcamp page here. With each purchase all proceeds will go towards the organizations listed above.
